Jordan’s King Abdullah II chaired a meeting of the National Security Council on Saturday, during which he received a security briefing on the terrorist attack that targeted a synagogue in the village of Hamoud in the Karak Governorate on Friday, resulting in the killing and wounding of several citizens. King Abdullah II, who was joined by Crown Prince Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, stressed that there is no room for leniency when it comes to the lives of Jordanians, reiterating his condemnation of this abominable act, which is alien to Jordan’s tradition of courage and harmony. He emphasized that the security and safety of Jordanians constitute a red line, affirming that the hand of justice will reach every terrorist, and that such cowardly acts will not intimidate Jordan or its people, nor will they undermine their national unity.
