Meanwhile, Jordan’s Attorney General, Dr. Hassan Al-Abdallat, acting in accordance with Article 39 of the Press and Publications Law and Article 225 of the Penal Code, issued a publication ban on the investigative case related to the events that took place around the Hamoud Church in Karak Governorate. The order stipulates that all visual, audio, print media outlets, and social media platforms must refrain from publishing any news or information related to the case, the progress of the investigation, or anything that could influence the course of justice, under the threat of legal and judicial liability. The ban covers all news related to the case, as well as the publication and dissemination of such content. An exception is made for official state media under the supervision of the Ministry of Government Communication. The order also prohibits the circulation or republication of photos, videos, or information related to the case under investigation, reiterating that the ban applies to all news concerning the case, its publication, and its dissemination.
