UAE Honors Kuwait's Embassy in Abu Dhabi with Distinguished Diplomatic Mission Award

The United Arab Emirates honored the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Abu Dhabi today, Friday, by awarding it the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Prize for Diplomatic Missions, in recognition of its efforts to support bilateral relations and enhance cooperation and coordination between the two countries. The award ceremony was held by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who presented the prize to Kuwait’s Ambassador to the UAE, Jamal Al-Ghannam, in the presence of several ministers, ambassadors, and senior ministry officials.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Ambassador Al-Ghannam said that this honor reflects the appreciation for Kuwait’s diplomatic efforts and serves as an incentive for the embassy and its staff to continue working to strengthen bilateral ties between the two fraternal countries. He expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and all ministers and officials at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs for this recognition, reaffirming the embassy’s commitment to continued serious and fruitful cooperation with the ministry to support the development of bilateral relations to broader horizons that meet the aspirations of the two fraternal peoples.

He added that the embassy will continue to work on enhancing the State of Kuwait’s presence and interests, highlighting its approach based on cooperation, openness, trust-building, and the consolidation of dialogue and mutual understanding, thereby contributing to expanding partnership opportunities and achieving shared interests between the two countries. Ambassador Al-Ghannam stressed that the directives of Kuwait’s political leadership reaffirm these principles and ensure they form the working program for Kuwaiti diplomacy.
