Justice Minister and Advisor Nasser Al-Samait emphasized the commitment to elevating cooperation and coordination between the Ministry and the Supreme Council of the Judiciary to the highest levels, and to providing the administrative, financial, and technological needs of the judiciary. He stressed that the goal is singular: to serve justice, facilitate public access to it, and expedite the realization of people’s rights. This came in a statement issued by the Ministry on Thursday, following Advisor Al-Samait’s visit to the Palace of Justice, where he met with the President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary and President of the Court of Cassation, First Advisor Hani Al-Humaidan; the Vice President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary and Vice President of the Court of Cassation, First Advisor Derrar Al-Waqian; and the President of the Court of Appeal and member of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, First Advisor Tariq Al-Jaber.
Al-Samait said that great expectations are placed on the Supreme Council of the Judiciary in serving the judiciary and litigants, and in translating the high directives of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, into consolidating justice and safeguarding rights and freedoms. He expressed congratulations on the esteemed Amir’s confidence in appointing them to their judicial positions, wishing them success and prosperity in bearing this national trust. He clarified that the impact of this cooperation should be felt by litigants in the ease of procedures and the swift resolution of their cases, as serving the people and safeguarding their rights lies at the core of shared responsibility. Accompanying the Justice Minister during the visit were his Deputy, Awatef Al-Sand, and the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Technical and Administrative Affairs, Nawaf Al-Qabandi.
