In implementation of the high directives of His Highness the Amir of the State, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Ministry of Interior announced that the Private Security Affairs and Correctional Institutions Sector released 94 inmates on Monday, the 19th of this month, under the rehabilitation program for repentant individuals covered by the gracious Amir’s amnesty. The Ministry added in a statement that this gracious Amir’s amnesty embodies the paternal care of His Highness the Amir, and reflects his keenness to provide those covered with a new opportunity to return to their families, integrate into society as law-abiding citizens, and contribute to its development. The Ministry affirmed the continued implementation of rehabilitation and reform programs aimed at correcting inmates’ behavior, reinforcing positive values among them, and preparing them for reintegration into society, thereby contributing to achieving family and social stability.
