Our Arab and Islamic nations have never, throughout their long history, endured a period more arduous than the one they are currently experiencing, following the convergence of conspiracies and machinations by enemies from every direction and quarter. Through these vile schemes, forces of evil have managed, by various means, to turn one Arab brother against another, as is evident in our present day. There are Arabs who are openly fighting their Arab brothers in Syria, Libya, Lebanon, and Yemen, using foreign ammunition and weapons, under the orders and directives hostile to Arabs and Muslims. Regrettably, it is the enemies who oversee and orchestrate these battles among Arab brothers.

It is truly lamentable to hear an Arab declare, without shame, that his Arab brother is an enemy. This is precisely what has regrettably been stated by the brothers from Yemen. A Yemeni spokesperson has boasted that his military forces repelled an attack by “brothers” in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, whom he described as enemies. Thus, the official Houthi spokesperson openly and shamelessly labeled his Saudi brothers as enemies, at a time when he should remember that these Saudi brothers are his own kin and have never been enemies to their Yemeni brothers.

As I know and have witnessed with my own eyes, Saudi Arabia has contributed, and continues to contribute, to the building of modern Yemen’s renaissance. During the era of President Judge Al-Aryani and his Prime Minister, Mr. Mohsen Al-Aini, Saudi Arabia funded the Yemeni state budget. At that time, Saudi Arabia alone paid the salaries of employees of the modern Republic of Yemen, without any expectation of reward or gratitude, driven solely by feelings of brotherhood and the directives of the Almighty, Lord of the Worlds.

Similarly, the State of Kuwait, at that time, provided close support and assistance to the modern Republic of Yemen. Motivated by brotherly solidarity, Kuwait promptly opened two official offices in Sana’a and Aden to serve the needs of Yemeni brothers. Through these efforts, Kuwait built the University of Sana’a, alongside several other schools. Under the supervision of staff from its two offices, and in cooperation with our Yemeni brothers, Kuwait established numerous hospitals and clinics, equipping these vital facilities with all necessary medical instruments, specialized doctors, and medicines. All of this was done out of brotherly sentiments and in fulfillment of the duty imposed by sincere Arab brotherhood and fraternity. Should an Arab brother really label his Arab brother as an enemy?
