Faisal Matar: The Ministry of Education has announced the opening of electronic applications for appointment as National Exams Supervisors for the first academic term of the 2026/2027 academic year, starting today, Thursday, October 22, and running until October 29, via its official website, in accordance with specific regulations and criteria.
The ministry stated that this step comes under the directives of Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabatabai, aiming to attract qualified national talents to contribute to strengthening supervision over the conduct of exams, enhancing compliance with the regulations and bylaws governing them, and consolidating integrity, transparency, and equal opportunities among students.
It clarified that the National Exams Supervisor is responsible for monitoring adherence to approved procedures within exam committees, identifying deficiencies and violations that may disrupt the regularity of examinations, and contributing to reducing infractions through field monitoring and ensuring the implementation of the rules governing the work.
The ministry outlined the candidacy conditions, which include being a Kuwaiti national, having at least six years of professional experience calculated up to September 1 of the current academic year, and holding a “Excellent” competency rating for the last three consecutive years.
It added that there must be no active disciplinary sanctions against the applicant during the last three years, unless they have been expunged in accordance with Civil Service provisions or annulled by a final court judgment, along with submitting a criminal record certificate (“no criminal record”) via the “Sahel” application.
The ministry also stipulated that the National Exams Supervisor must not have first-degree relatives in the tenth, eleventh, or twelfth grades, to ensure neutrality and prevent any potential conflict of interest.
It clarified that applications are open to Kuwaiti employees in educational and supervisory positions within the ministry, including school principals, assistant principals, educational advisors, subject department heads, and teachers, with the condition that teachers of subjects included in the exam schedules of the committees assigned to supervise them are not selected.
It emphasized that electronic selection represents the first stage of the competitive process, followed by personal interviews conducted by a specialized committee chaired by the Inspection and Audit Office of the Minister of Education’s office, to assess the professional competence of candidates and their readiness to perform supervisory duties.
It noted that these procedures will lead to the approval of the final list of those appointed as National Exams Supervisors, thereby supporting the regularity of examinations, raising the level of compliance with regulations, contributing to reducing violations, and enhancing trust in the fairness of the examination process.
