The official spokesperson for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, Brigadier General Rakan Turki Al-Maliki, announced on Thursday that four drones were intercepted and destroyed in the Riyadh and Medina regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Coalition had previously announced in the morning the interception and destruction of a drone in the Riyadh area. This comes as the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation reported that the number of fatalities from the attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam has risen to two, while the number of injured remains at eight. In a supplementary statement regarding the attack on the airport late Wednesday evening, the Authority confirmed an additional death, bringing the total fatalities to two: an Indian citizen and an Indian resident. It clarified that the eight injured include one citizen and two residents each from India and Yemen, one Bangladeshi resident, and one Nepali resident, with injuries ranging from minor to serious, and that they are receiving necessary medical care in several hospitals. The Authority affirmed that work continues in coordination with relevant security agencies to assess damages and take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of passengers and staff, while also noting the resumption of operational activities at the airport and the return of air traffic to normal.
