Justice Minister: Supporting the judiciary and respecting its independence is a fixed responsibility

Here, Minister of Justice and Advisor Nasser Al-Sumait, First Counselor Hani Al-Hamdan, on the occasion of their appointments as President of the Court of Cassation and President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, and First Counselor Derrar Al-Waqian, on the occasion of his appointment as Vice President of the Court of Cassation and Vice President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, and First Counselor Tariq Al-Jaber, on the occasion of his appointment as President of the Court of Appeal and a member of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, took the legal oath before His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad. Al-Sumait expressed his sincere congratulations to them for the esteemed confidence reposed in them, emphasizing that assuming these high judicial offices is a great national trust, linked to the status of the judicial authority and its lofty mission of establishing justice and safeguarding rights and freedoms. Al-Sumait praised their legal competence and judicial careers, as well as their knowledge and sound judgment, expressing his confidence that they are worthy of this trust, and wishing them success and prosperity in realizing His Highness the Amir’s visionary goal of achieving a qualitative leap in the performance of the judicial system, and consolidating justice and safeguarding rights and freedoms. He affirmed that the Ministry of Justice has always been, and will continue to be, placing all its resources at the service of the judiciary, providing the necessary administrative, financial, and technical support to ensure the proper functioning of justice, and creating suitable conditions for fulfilling its mission, stressing that supporting the judiciary and respecting its independence is a firm commitment that the Ministry adheres to in all its activities.
