Support for Saudi Arabia is Support for the Arab Project

Kuwait and Gulf states support Saudi Arabia in facing Iranian and Zionist threats.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Islamic Affairs acted rightly by circulating last Friday’s sermon in all mosques across Kuwait, in support of the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its noble people, who are enduring attacks on the Saudi people and on the Kingdom’s territory, particularly Makkah al-Mukarramah, al-Madinah al-Munawwarah, Riyadh, and other Saudi territories and vital facilities, from aggressive assaults by the culpable Houthis and those behind them. May Allah aid the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the Arab Gulf states, as they are surrounded by aggressive Iran from the direction of the Arabian Gulf, and in the north by Iraq, which harbors Iranian-aligned proxies, while in the south lies Yemen, a launchpad for the culpable Houthi aggression backed by Iran against Saudi Arabia in particular, and the rest of the Gulf Arab states. Moreover, the Zionist enemy is lurking against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all Gulf Arab states to advance the Zionist project, which seeks to extend its dominance over all Arab countries, especially the Gulf states. As we follow the Saudi-Yemeni situation, we do not overlook the possibility of Zionist efforts and the involvement of global powers seeking to weaken the Kingdom’s regional and Gulf leadership role, and to undermine the Gulf system as a whole. We do not exaggerate if we say that supporting Saudi Arabia at this sensitive stage, with all the capabilities available to the Gulf, Arab, and Islamic states, constitutes support for the Arab and Islamic project aimed at survival, progress, and advancement, and at achieving the ultimate goal of a free Palestine, independent of regional and global projects seeking to dominate the nation and its resources. Saudi Arabia, the sister kingdom, serves as the beating heart of both the Arab and Islamic nations. It is the land of the Two Holy Mosques, and it is a state poised to lead the Arab and Islamic project. Saudi Arabia constitutes a pillar of stability in a highly turbulent region, and the stability of the Saudi economy contributes to the stability of the Gulf and global economic conditions. Therefore, supporting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia means supporting the frontline in confronting enemies driven by the Iranian and Zionist projects, amid the contest among major powers in the region. Consequently, maintaining Saudi Arabia as the frontline and enhancing its strength and resolve lays a solid foundation for building a future Arab project.
Recently, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, delivered an important speech at the opening of the Qatari Shura Council. Notably, the address touched upon regional and global developments, and emphasized Qatar’s readiness—along with its people and institutions—to confront current and future crises and risks. Some local observers regarded the Amir’s speech as a roadmap for resilience during a critical phase for the Gulf Arab and Arab worlds. Accordingly, there is hope that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) system will benefit from the main idea presented in the speech by developing a roadmap for Gulf states to manage and confront crises and risks.
