Eva Hotels launches 'Velasita' project

Eva Hotels & Resorts, one of the leading companies in developing hospitality projects, luxury residential units, and integrated labor housing solutions, announced the launch of its latest residential project in South Africa, “Vilasita,” located at the Zimbali Lakes Resort on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal province. The development comprises 146 luxury residences. The project is part of a series of initiatives through which the company plans to offer real estate valued at approximately one billion rand annually in the market over the next five years. Construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with the project expected to be completed by the end of 2028.

Life by the water: Vilasita’s residences range from one-bedroom apartments to spacious penthouses, led by the main four-bedroom residence. The sloping design allows residents direct vehicle access to their front doors, with pre-equipped parking spaces for electric vehicle charging, combining the convenience of apartment ownership with the privacy of villas. The residences overlook the lake, gardens, or ocean, while the penthouse units feature private pools and rooftop gardens. The “lock-and-leave” lifestyle suits owners who spend only part of the year on the North Coast. For investors, Zimbali Escapes manages the accommodation services, allowing for short-term rentals. A waterfront promenade connects residents to Zimbali Square and the beach club, while the Zimbali Lakes Club is just a short golf cart ride away.

Achievements in Zimbali: Eva Hotels & Resorts has been investing in Zimbali for over twenty years and has a strong track record of attracting global brands to KwaZulu-Natal. Among its recent achievements is bringing the first Ernie Els Signature Course golf course to the province. Additionally, Tonino Lamborghini selected the Zimbali Lakes Resort to launch its first residential project in Africa, reflecting the confidence of these two global brands in Eva’s ability to deliver high-quality projects in an exceptional location.

The foundation for the next phase has already been laid, with investment in the Ernie Els golf course and Zimbali Lakes Club reaching approximately 250 million rand, alongside an infrastructure program valued at around 1.3 billion rand. Furthermore, excavation and structural support works for the Ernie Els Wings, Avanti Residences, and the shopping center have been completed. Construction is set to begin in January 2027 and finish by mid-2028.

Vilasita has attracted significant interest from buyers in KwaZulu-Natal, other South African provinces, and internationally.
