Vinicius: Confident I Will Return to My Best Levels

Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has expressed full confidence in regaining his usual form, despite acknowledging that he is not currently performing at his best, emphasizing that the return of victories and goals is merely a matter of time. Speaking after Real Madrid’s 4-3 Champions League victory over Roma, Vinicius said he is working to regain his level as quickly as possible, adding, “I know I am not at my best, but I have gone through worse moments.” The Brazilian forward noted that he had faced doubts in the past but continued to work bravely for the club, affirming that his self-confidence remains unshaken. He continued, “The streak of victories and goals will return soon, and I am sure of that; I have no doubt whatsoever,” a message reflecting his determination to overcome this difficult period and return to brilliance in the white jersey.

Vinicius’s comments come as he seeks to regain his best form amid criticism of his performances, while Real Madrid continues to work on improving its results and its players’ performances throughout the season. His remarks followed a difficult night against Roma, when manager Jose Mourinho substituted him in the 59th minute, bringing on his young compatriot Andrey, with Real Madrid trailing 3-1. The Brazilian star showed displeasure at the substitution after delivering a modest performance and committing an error that contributed to Roma’s second goal. However, Andrey succeeded in changing the course of the match, playing a key role in Real Madrid’s dramatic 4-3 comeback.

Commenting on his substitution, Vinicius said, “It is natural to feel upset when I am substituted, because I always want to play full matches, and I want to be at my best to help the team, but that was not possible today.” He added that the substitutions helped change the direction of the match, praising Andrey’s performance, which included scoring a goal during the team’s historic comeback.
