Kuwait and UAE Discuss Strengthening Military and Defense Cooperation

The Chief of Staff of the General Supply and Logistics Department of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, Major General Engineer Salah Al-Azmi, held talks on Wednesday with the Assistant Chief of Staff for Joint Capabilities at the UAE Ministry of Defense, Major General Issa Al-Balushi, to discuss military and defense cooperation. The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army stated in a press release that the discussions between Al-Azmi and Al-Balushi in the UAE focused on several issues of mutual interest, foremost among them ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in a manner that serves shared interests. The statement added that the Kuwaiti delegation visited EDGE Group, the UAE-based company specializing in defense industries and advanced technology, where it was briefed on the latest technologies, systems, and defense solutions developed by the group. The Kuwaiti delegation included Brigadier General Khalifa Duaij Al-Sabah, Head of the Procurement and Equipment Department, along with several senior commanding officers from both sides.
