The Cabinet expressed its strong condemnation and outrage over the continued terrorist and criminal attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against the fraternal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which targeted King Khalid International Airport in the capital Riyadh, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, and Abha Airport in recent days. This came in a statement issued by the Cabinet following its meeting held today, Tuesday, under the chairmanship of His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister.
The Cabinet affirmed that these heinous and cowardly attacks, which resulted in several deaths and injured dozens of innocent civilians, including Saudi nationals and foreigners among passengers and airport workers, as well as causing material damage, constitute a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a flagrant breach of international law and international humanitarian law.
It stressed that persisting in targeting civilian airports and vital infrastructure represents a serious escalation and a direct threat to civilian lives and the safety of air navigation, necessitating a firm international stance to halt these heinous attacks and hold those responsible accountable.
The Cabinet reaffirmed the State of Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the fraternal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its full support alongside the Kingdom in all measures it takes to safeguard its security, stability, and sovereignty, noting that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
It expressed the State of Kuwait’s sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the leadership, government, and people of the fraternal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as to the governments and peoples of the countries to which the victims belonged, and to their families, extending wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.
