Faisal Matar: The Ministry of Social Affairs is preparing to complete the procedures for filling approximately 70 supervisory positions across around 59 cooperative societies, following the re-administration of exams last Saturday. A senior source told Al-Qabas that more than 390 nationals out of approximately 1,745 who actually attended the exams passed, while the total number of applicants through the “Fakharna” platform who met the document and employment requirements was 2,552. He clarified that around 1,349 applicants did not pass the exams, but they still have the opportunity to reapply for exams that will be announced later. The vacancies include approximately 17 general manager positions, about 27 deputy manager positions for financial, administrative, and commercial affairs, and around 26 department head positions. He added that the ministry is awaiting the final list of successful candidates from the university, in preparation for officially announcing the results next Thursday, with successful candidates receiving text messages detailing their personal interview schedules. He noted that the interviews will be supervised by a committee comprising representatives from the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Cooperative Societies Union, and the Public Authority for Manpower, emphasizing the necessity of adhering to deadlines and presenting a “no criminal record” certificate issued via the “Sahl” app. The Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, Dr. Amal Al-Huwail, had decided to re-administer the exams following a recommendation by the investigation committee, in light of the technical problems that accompanied the previous exam, foremost among them being power outages, to ensure equality and equal opportunity among applicants.
