First Deputy PM chairs coordination meeting with telecom company officials

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud chaired a coordination meeting attended by the Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Affairs, Acting Minister of Information and Culture Omar Al-Omar, chief executive officers of telecommunications companies, and several security officials to discuss matters of mutual interest. The Interior Ministry said in a press statement on Monday that the meeting reviewed several administrative and organizational aspects, discussed measures related to the telecommunications sector and ways to facilitate their implementation, and explored coordination among relevant authorities to help organize work, remove obstacles, and find appropriate solutions to the issues raised. It added that the meeting was part of the Interior Ministry’s commitment to follow up on shared matters with government entities and the private sector, and to enhance cooperation in this regard, thereby supporting the smooth flow of work, completing related procedures within approved frameworks, and serving the public interest.
