Kuwait: Houthi Militia's Escalation in Targeting Airports is a Serious Provocation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed today, Monday, the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and rejection of the ongoing terrorist and criminal attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against the fraternal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs referred to the latest of these attacks, which targeted King Khalid International Airport in the capital, Riyadh, and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam yesterday, Sunday. The attack on King Khalid International Airport resulted in the death of one resident and injuries to others, as well as material damage, in a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a flagrant breach of international law and international humanitarian law. The Ministry stressed that persistently targeting civilian airports and vital facilities constitutes a serious escalation and a direct threat to civilian lives and the safety of air navigation, necessitating a firm international stance to halt these heinous attacks and hold those responsible accountable. Kuwait reaffirmed its absolute solidarity with the fraternal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its full support alongside the Kingdom in all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, and sovereignty, emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Kuwait also expressed its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of the victim, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
