Support for the Kingdom is a Fraternal Duty and a Necessity of Interest

What unites the Gulf Arab states—shared ancestry, lineage, blood, and history—is a common destiny that is closer and more complete than any other form of association or integration. The security of one Gulf state cannot be sustained in isolation from the security of its sisters, nor can its aspirations be realized without solidarity and mutual support. We are one body; what befalls one part of it causes the entire body to collapse. The victory of the Kingdom is a fraternal duty and a matter of shared interest. Indeed, our common destiny transcends any transient differences, if they exist at all.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the focal point of Muslims’ hearts and the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, is a fundamental pillar of the Gulf’s security and stability. An attack on it is an attack on all of us, whether it comes from the criminal Iranian regime or its proxies, the terrorist Houthi militias. Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states have repeatedly extended a hand of peace to the Iranian regime and its Houthi militias, but they have responded with further hostility. Treachery is their modus operandi, and aggression is their constant practice. Our patience must not be perceived as weakness, nor should our desire for peace be seen as an opportunity for them to escalate. Anyone among them who bets on isolating Saudi Arabia from its brothers or targeting it alone is deluded. They will find only one united, mutually supportive Gulf that views an attack on any of its members as an attack on the entire region.
No Gulf state should ever face aggression alone. Aggression must be met with a unified front and a single resolve. Standing shoulder to shoulder with the Kingdom is a fraternal duty, a matter of shared interest, and a reflection of our common destiny. Saudi Arabia is the cornerstone of the Gulf’s strength; its security and sovereignty are an inseparable part of each Gulf state’s security and sovereignty. We desire peace, but we want it to be dignified, upheld by strength and reinforced by unity. Treachery cannot be trusted, and aggression cannot be deterred by wishful thinking. Just as our hand extended in peace must be one, our stance in confronting aggression must also be unified—a stance that draws upon our shared history and safeguards our common future.
Every Gulf state has the right to find in its sister states support, reinforcement, and consolation in times of hardship. This is the brotherhood we cherish, and this is its true test. Saudi Arabia is not alone, nor will it ever be alone. An attack on it is an attack on us; its security is our security, and our destiny is one.
