Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs: Adherence to Information and Document Confidentiality, Strengthening Oversight, and Protecting Public Funds

Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailan, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, emphasized the importance of enhancing institutional performance efficiency, accelerating the completion of files, and implementing Cabinet decisions and ministerial directives, thereby reflecting positively on the quality of services provided to beneficiaries. During her meeting with ministry executives, Al-Huwailan stressed that proactively and regularly monitoring files and reporting updates is the responsibility of executive leadership, outlining completed tasks, implementation obstacles, and proposed solutions to address them. She directed that delayed files, cases, and reports be inventoried, with clear timelines established for their completion, and that implementation and monitoring responsibilities be clearly defined. She underscored the necessity of completing committee work and submitting their results and recommendations without delay.

Al-Huwailan also highlighted the importance of expediting the review of implementing laws and regulations, submitting comprehensive proposals that address implementation challenges and align with beneficiaries’ needs, simplifying procedures, accelerating e-government transformation, and seriously addressing complaints and following up on the resolution of their root causes. She stressed the need to provide practical solutions and well-considered alternatives when encountering obstacles in services and programs, while considering the impact of any proposal on beneficiaries and ensuring service continuity. She further emphasized enhancing coordination among ministry sectors to accomplish joint matters.

She affirmed the commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of information and documents, and stated that no statements or news related to the ministry’s work should be issued or published unless approved. She also called for strengthening oversight, protecting public funds and beneficiaries’ rights, and taking necessary actions regarding any violations. She noted that performance evaluation is linked to results, service quality, speed of completion, decision-making within the scope of authority, and monitoring implementation, all of which achieve the ministry’s objectives and enhance beneficiaries’ confidence in its services.
