Saudi Arabia: Temporary suspension of operations at King Khalid International Airport

The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced on Saturday the temporary suspension of operational activities at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh following an attack that resulted in several injuries. In a statement, the Authority said the airport was attacked in the afternoon, amid ongoing blatant attacks targeting civil aviation facilities in the Kingdom, noting that efforts are underway to tally the casualties. It clarified that operations at the airport have been temporarily suspended pending the completion of damage assessments and verification of the safety of the facilities, in coordination with relevant authorities, and added that updates will be announced later.
