950 citizens applied for Imam and Muazzin exams

Kuwait’s Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Osaimi, reaffirmed on Wednesday the Ministry of Islamic Affairs’ commitment to attracting qualified Kuwaiti nationals for religious positions in mosques. Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Minister Al-Osaimi stated that the ministry has worked to facilitate the written examination for Kuwaiti applicants seeking religious posts in mosques, and to familiarize them with the procedures and steps governing the exam. He added that approximately 950 citizens registered to take the test, with 450 applying for the position of imam and 500 for the position of muezzin. He noted that these examinations are part of the ministry’s efforts to recruit qualified national talent and select them in accordance with established regulations and standards, thereby contributing to the enhancement of the quality of work and religious services provided in mosques across the State of Kuwait.
