First Deputy PM: Field monitoring of Saudi Super Cup organization to reflect Kuwait's prestige

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud chaired a coordination meeting on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, to assess readiness to host Saudi Super Cup matches in the State of Kuwait. The meeting was attended by the Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Affairs and the Acting Minister of Media and Culture, Omar Saud Abdulaziz Al-Omar, and His Excellency the Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Tariq Hamad Nasser Al-Jalahma. Representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the General Fire Force, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, the Kuwait Municipality, the Public Authority for Youth and Sports, and the Kuwait Football Association also attended, alongside representatives of private-sector host entities, including Fahad Ali Al-Ghanim, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aayan Group, and Rashid Ali Al-Omairi, Chief Executive Officer of Al-Ray Media Group. The meeting aimed to follow up on preparations for hosting the matches and enhance coordination among relevant authorities to integrate security, organizational, and media efforts, complete hosting requirements, and provide necessary facilitations for spectators and participants. Emphasis was placed on continuous field monitoring of preparations, direct coordination among relevant entities, and promptly addressing any obstacles to ensure the readiness of all parties, the precise and efficient execution of assigned tasks, and the safety of spectators and participants, as well as the proper organization of the matches and presenting this sporting event in a manner befitting the name of the State of Kuwait.
