Saudi Crown Prince receives [Syrian President] and discusses relations and regional developments

Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, met in Riyadh today with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa. During the meeting, the prospects for bilateral relations and areas of cooperation between the two countries were reviewed, along with promising opportunities to develop ties across various fields. The discussion also covered recent developments in the region, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Attending the meeting from the Saudi side were Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense; Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Maaid bin Mohammed al-Aiban, State Minister, Member of the Council of Ministers, and National Security Advisor; Dr. Bandar bin Obaid Al-Rashid, Secretary to the Crown Prince; and Khalid bin Fareed Hudhrawi, Advisor to the Royal Court. On the Syrian side, the attendees were Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad al-Shaybani, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Riyadh, Mohsen Mahbash.
