Yemeni Army: We Have Controlled the City of Al-Mukha

Yemeni government forces seized the city of Mokha in western Taiz province on Monday following clashes with Houthi militias. A military source told the Yemeni news agency SABA that Yemeni forces, with air support, gained control of Mokha after confrontations with the Houthi militia, which had held the city since early September. The source noted that fighting erupted at several sites surrounding Mokha, involving various types of weapons, resulting in casualties and injuries among Houthi fighters, with some captured and others fleeing. He added that the forces are continuing to pursue Houthi elements, clearing and securing liberated areas, neighborhoods, and facilities to eliminate any remaining Houthi pockets.
