Al-Mushaan Inaugurates Integrated Services Center for People with Disabilities at the Ministry of Public Works

Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan inaugurated today the Integrated Services Center for Persons with Disabilities at the ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of Acting Deputy Minister of Public Works Kifaya Mohammed Al-Najdi and several ministry officials, as part of the ministry’s efforts to develop its services and facilitate the processing of transactions for visitors and employees with disabilities. The center aims to provide integrated services that meet the needs of persons with motor, hearing, and visual disabilities, through assistive devices and technologies that streamline procedures and create a service environment tailored to beneficiaries’ needs. The center includes a sign language interpretation device to facilitate communication with deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, as well as a text magnification device to assist the visually impaired and those with color blindness, along with a real-time reading device for the blind and a Braille printer to help them read documents and complete their transactions. The inauguration of the center comes within the framework of the Ministry of Public Works’ efforts to enhance the level of services provided to persons with disabilities, improve accessibility, and develop a service environment that accommodates their needs and enables them to complete their transactions efficiently and with ease.
