Trump: Iran to Face Severe Strike if Involved in Flydubai Plane Incident

US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with a “very strong strike” if it is confirmed to be involved in the attack on the commander of a Flydubai aircraft during a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, adding that he considers this scenario likely. Trump stated that Iranians “will receive a very strong strike,” in response to a journalist’s question about whether the United States would retaliate if Tehran’s responsibility were established. During a conversation with reporters at the White House, Trump said he believes Iran is involved in the incident, explaining, “I would say the answer is yes, based on what I’m hearing, but we are working on this matter at this very moment.” Two days after the Flydubai plane made an emergency landing at Tabuk Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during its flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, with 174 passengers on board, the motives of the attacker remain unclear.
