Coalition: Houthi Militia Targeted Electricity Distribution Station in Medina

The official spokesperson for the Coalition Forces supporting the legitimate government in Yemen, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, stated that the terrorist attack on the “Taybah” electricity distribution station in Medina last Tuesday was carried out by the Houthi terrorist militia. The spokesperson added that the findings of the investigation and evidence from the competent authorities confirmed the involvement of the Houthi terrorist militia in planning and executing this cowardly terrorist act, based on operational reviews and remnants of the drone used.

Brigadier General Al-Maliki clarified that the attack caused one transformer to go out of service, without affecting the electrical network. He emphasized that this cowardly attack targeting a civilian facility providing electricity services to the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina is a continuation of the extremist militia’s pattern of attempting to target the Two Holy Mosques and deliberately provoking the feelings of millions of Muslims worldwide by targeting Mecca and Medina.

Brigadier General Al-Maliki reaffirmed the Coalition’s continued commitment to taking and implementing measures to deter the Houthi terrorist militia, ensuring the protection of the Two Holy Mosques and the safety of the guests of God in Mecca and Medina.
