Opening of the first phase of Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Road development project (formerly Al-Abdali)

Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works, Kifah Al-Najdi, inaugurated the first phase of the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Road (formerly Al-Abdali) development project, in the presence of Al-Jahra Governor Hamad Al-Habashi. In a press statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Public Works said the road is one of the vital arteries linking Al-Jahra Governorate with the northern areas, serving travel to the Al-Abdali region, farms, and border crossings, as well as playing a key role in land travel and freight transport, thereby giving its development significant service and economic importance. It noted that the development works contribute to enhancing the road’s efficiency, improving traffic flow, and strengthening safety for users, while facilitating access to the areas it serves, keeping pace with urban expansion needs, and accommodating the growing volume of vehicles. The ministry pointed out that the inauguration of the first phase of the project is the result of the efforts of the Ministry of Public Works and relevant authorities, under the follow-up of the Al-Jahra Governorate Council, within the framework of joint coordination to advance road and infrastructure projects and improve the level of services provided to residents and road users.
