Social Affairs Minister: Re-testing applicants for supervisory positions in cooperatives

The Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, announced on Thursday the re-administration of the screening test for applicants seeking supervisory positions in cooperative societies, in accordance with clear and transparent regulations that ensure equality and equal opportunity for all candidates. In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Huwail said that the specialized investigation committee concerning the test had submitted its report and recommendations after reviewing observations and complaints related to the procedures surrounding the exam. She clarified that the committee recommended re-administering the test due to technical issues that accompanied the original session, primarily the power outage, and noted that coordination had been established with the Gulf University for Science and Technology to conduct a new test for all applicants. She added that the new test would be conducted under clear and transparent regulations, with questions aligned with the announced scientific subject matter and the nature of the positions being tested. The test would also be monitored via audio and video surveillance to enhance the integrity of the proceedings and guarantee equal opportunity among candidates. Al-Huwail emphasized the ministry’s commitment to safeguarding the rights of all parties, commending the ongoing cooperation and coordination between the ministry and the Gulf University for Science and Technology. She indicated that coordination regarding the necessary arrangements and the test date was underway, with details to be announced at a later time.
