The 'Sur' opera: An artistic epic embodying the national journey

A group of prominent artists and celebrities presented the national celebratory artistic performance “Al-Sour,” which depicted, through its artistic and acrobatic tableaux, key milestones in Kuwait’s history and national journey, evoking values of cohesion, loyalty, and patriotism, as well as the innate spirit of mutual support and solidarity among the people and their heroes on the front lines during crises, and their unity around wise leadership, along with the enduring national heritage passed down through generations.

A commemorative gift was presented at the event to Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, Representative of the Amir of Kuwait, and Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Council of Ministers, on this occasion.

Following the ceremony, the Amir’s Representative toured the facilities, including the third phase of the Martyr’s Park, where he inspected the external and internal facilities encompassing cultural, tourist, and recreational areas, as well as commercial projects and logistical services within the park. He departed the venue amid the same warm reception and appreciation with which he had been welcomed.

A documentary film was screened, showcasing the cultural centers affiliated with the Diwan of the Amir, highlighting their prominent cultural and civilizational facilities and landmarks, and their role in preserving national heritage and enhancing Kuwait’s cultural landscape. The film also featured the programs and activities they offer, which contribute to highlighting national identity and raising awareness of Kuwait’s history, its civilizational heritage, and its distinction in the cultural and artistic fields.
