32 judges sworn in as part of judiciary Kuwaitization plan

Thirty-two judges and judge-designates administered the legal oath before the First Counselor Dr. Adel Al-Buroushi, President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, following the issuance of Decree No. (142) of 2026, which transferred several members of the Public Prosecution to serve as judges at the Court of Cassation. The ceremony was attended by First Counselor Khaled Ali Al-Othman, Vice President of the Court of Cassation.

The oath was administered in accordance with Oath Administration Record No. (4) of 2026, implementing Article (25) of Law Decree No. (80) of 2026, which issued the Law Regulating the Judiciary.

The integration of the new judges into the judiciary comes within the framework of the plan and timeline established by the Supreme Council of the Judiciary to fully Kuwaitize the judiciary and the members of the judicial authority by the end of the 2029/2030 judicial year, in implementation of the High Command issued in this regard.

The President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary congratulated the new judges on their joining the judiciary, emphasizing the importance of the responsibility entrusted to them and the duties they must adhere to. He urged them to strive for achieving justice and safeguarding the interests of litigants, and to be diligent in acquiring knowledge and staying abreast of developments in judicial principles, jurisprudential research, and technological fields, thereby enabling them to fulfill their mission to the fullest extent. He also advised them to love Kuwait and to preserve its security and stability, and to repay, in part, the generosity shown to them by the country, wishing them success in carrying out their judicial mission.
