Syria: Arrest of Hezbollah Cell Attempting to Prepare Rocket Launch Platforms

The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced that it arrested a Hezbollah-affiliated cell of three individuals in the Yarmouk Basin in Daraa. In a statement, the ministry said that the General Intelligence Directorate, in cooperation with internal security forces, thwarted a sabotage plot. It added that the operation followed precise monitoring of the cell’s attempts to assemble rocket launch platforms with the aim of carrying out attacks to destabilize security and stability. The platforms were completely dismantled, and investigations with the detainees are ongoing in preparation for their referral to the competent judiciary to receive their just punishment.
