Cabinet: Abolition of Decree Establishing Al-Harir City and Bubiyan Island Development Authority

The Cabinet approved, during its meeting on Tuesday, a draft decree abolishing Decree No. 240 of 2012 establishing the Silk City (Sulaibikhat) and Bubiyan Island Development Authority. In a statement following the meeting, the Cabinet announced that it had submitted the draft decree to His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The meeting was held in the conference room of the administrative building at the Martyr’s Park, Phase III, under the chairmanship of His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister.

The Cabinet was also informed that the representative of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, will officiate the official opening of the Martyr’s Park, Phase III, at 8:00 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday.

This was stated in a Cabinet statement following its meeting on Tuesday in the conference room of the administrative building at the Martyr’s Park, Phase III, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister. The statement noted that the opening of Phase III of the park will feature the national artistic celebration performance “Al-Sour” at the Al-Sour Theater building within the park, with the participation of several prominent artists.
