Champion Khaled Al-Mudhaf wins clay shooting gold at the Asian Games

Kuwaiti shooter Khaled Al-Mudhaf claimed first place and the gold medal in the men’s individual trap event, marking an exceptional performance by Kuwait’s shooters at the ongoing Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya 2026, held in Japan. Al-Mudhaf’s individual trap gold followed earlier gold for the Kuwaiti men’s team trap squad, comprising Khaled Al-Mudhaf, Abdulrahman Al-Faihan, and Talal Al-Rashidi. Meanwhile, Kuwaiti female shooters secured a historic bronze by finishing third in the same championship; the women’s team trap squad, consisting of Hajar Abdulmalek, Sara Al-Hawal, and Shaheed Al-Hawal, won bronze in the team event, while Hajar Abdulmalek also claimed bronze in the individual trap competition. With these achievements, Kuwait’s total medal tally at the Games has risen to four gold medals, following Abdullah Shaaban’s gold in karate kumite and the Kuwaiti kata team’s gold in the team event.
