Students at Abdullah Al-Salem University trained in developing websites using artificial intelligence, continuing the company’s commitment to supporting the development of technical education in Kuwait. Talabat, the leading on-demand application in the Middle East and North Africa, hosted the latest session of its monthly Next Tech Gen (NTG) program, in collaboration with CODED Academy, through a specialized two-day workshop targeting students at Abdullah Al-Salem University.
As part of its ongoing efforts in social responsibility, particularly in supporting education, Talabat continues to organize educational events under the Next Tech Gen program, which is held monthly to bridge the gap between academic outputs and the changing demands of the labor market. The program provides students with the opportunity to learn directly from a select group of technology experts at Talabat through practical sessions covering several vital technical fields, including artificial intelligence, product development, data analytics, and digital platforms.
In this session, Talabat partnered with CODED Academy, the first specialized coding academy in the region, to deliver a hands-on workshop aligned with future requirements. Over two intensive days, participants learned how to design, launch, and transform complete websites into scalable digital projects that meet real market needs, equipping them with the skills necessary to turn their ideas into viable digital ventures.
The workshop saw significant attendance, reflecting the growing interest among Kuwaiti youth in technology fields, with more than 100 participants attending over the two days.
Commenting on the initiative, Amal Bu-Khamsin, Director of Corporate Affairs at Talabat Kuwait, said: “At Talabat, we believe that the true impact of technology stems from investing in individuals. Through the Next Tech Gen program, we continue to equip Kuwaiti youth with practical skills that prepare them to lead the future of technology and innovation. Our collaboration with CODED Academy reflects the synergy of two entities committed to empowering the next generation of technical talent, while providing students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in leveraging artificial intelligence tools to transform their ideas into actionable digital solutions.”
For his part, Hashim Bahbahani, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at CODED Academy, said: “We are pleased to continue our collaboration with Talabat through the Next Tech Gen program, which provides students with valuable opportunities to acquire practical technical skills. This workshop allowed participants to learn about website development mechanisms using artificial intelligence tools through practical applications, boosting their confidence in their ability to transform their ideas into complete websites, while also preparing them to keep pace with the rapid demands of the digital economy.”
Among the 90 project ideas presented during the workshop, several innovative websites stood out, including the creation of a specialized prediction platform for a group of friends in Diwaniya, designed for competition during the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In this platform, each participant selects the winner of every match from the quarter-finals through to the final, earning points based on the accuracy of their predictions. A live leaderboard tracks competitors’ standings throughout the tournament, crowning the most accurate predictor when the final whistle blows on July 19.
