UAE: Suspension of Iranian airline flights to and from the country

The United Arab Emirates announced the suspension of flights by Iranian airlines to and from the country, effective Thursday, September 24, until further notice. The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority stated in a press release that the suspension decision was taken in light of the US sanctions prohibiting Iranian airlines from using airports in various countries worldwide. The Authority added that it would continue to keep relevant authorities and the public informed of any developments as they occur, until air traffic between the two countries returns to normal.
