Saudi Arabia: Early warning issued in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Taif, Tabuk, and Jeddah

Saudi Civil Defense announced on Thursday the activation of the early warning system for emergencies in the holy cities of Makkah and Taif, as well as in Tabuk and Jeddah, to warn of potential hazards. The Saudi Civil Defense urged citizens and residents to adhere to safety guidelines upon receiving warning messages from the “National Early Warning Platform” during emergencies, emphasizing the importance of following instructions issued by the relevant authorities through official channels. It clarified that recipients of warning messages should remain calm and immediately move to the nearest safe location, such as inside a building or an interior room away from windows, and stay there until the danger has passed, without leaving the home or building until it is confirmed that the emergency situation has ended.
