Establishing a Strategic Dialogue Between Kuwait and Pakistan

Between bilateral and expanded meetings with heads of state and officials from various companies, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Emir of Kuwait, represented by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid, the Crown Prince, continued his activities today (Wednesday) on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

In this context, His Highness met with His Excellency Bassirou Diomaye Faye, President of the friendly Republic of Senegal. At the outset of the meeting, the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Emir of Kuwait, along with his best wishes for the President’s good health, and for the Republic of Senegal and its friendly people continued progress and prosperity. The meeting included discussions on the bilateral relations between Kuwait and Senegal, ways to enhance cooperation in various fields, and an exchange of views on the latest regional and international developments.

Lithuania and Latvia

The Crown Prince also met with His Excellency Gitanas Nausėda, President of the friendly Republic of Lithuania, and his accompanying delegation. At the beginning of the meeting, he conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Emir of Kuwait, along with his best wishes for the President’s good health, and for the Republic of Lithuania and its friendly people further development and growth. The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and discussed prospects for cooperation in various fields of mutual interest, as well as the latest regional and international developments.

The Crown Prince also met with His Excellency Edgars Rinkēvičs, President of the friendly Republic of Latvia, and his accompanying delegation. At the outset of the meeting, he conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Emir of Kuwait, along with his best wishes for the President’s good health, and for the Republic of Latvia and its friendly people continued progress and prosperity. The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between Kuwait and Latvia, ways to enhance cooperation in various fields, and an exchange of views on the latest regional and international developments.

Strategic Dialogue

The Crown Prince also met with His Excellency Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting reviewed the deep bilateral relations between Kuwait and Pakistan and discussed ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields. It was agreed to work toward establishing a strategic dialogue between the two friendly countries, chaired by the foreign ministers of both nations, to serve as an institutional and regular framework for consultation and coordination, and to contribute to elevating bilateral relations to broader horizons, thereby serving the common interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples.

The meeting also discussed key issues on the agenda of the General Assembly and the latest regional and international developments.

The Crown Prince, representing His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Emir of Kuwait, met with His Excellency Ali Al-Falah Al-Haidari, Prime Minister of the sister Republic of Iraq, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting discussed the relations between Kuwait and Iraq and ways to strengthen them in various fields to serve the common interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples, in addition to discussing the latest developments and issues of mutual interest in the regional and international arenas.

On Tuesday evening, the Crown Prince, representing His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Emir of Kuwait, received His Excellency Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the sister Arab Republic of Egypt, and his accompanying delegation.

At the outset of the meeting, the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Emir of Kuwait, to His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the sister Arab Republic of Egypt, along with his best wishes for the President’s good health and well-being, and for the Arab Republic of Egypt and its brotherly people continued progress and prosperity.

The meeting reviewed the solid, historic brotherly relations between Kuwait and Egypt, characterized by close cooperation and continuous coordination, and discussed ways to support, strengthen, and elevate these relations to broader horizons in various fields, thereby serving the common interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.

The two sides exchanged views on key issues on the agenda of the United Nations General Assembly, discussed the latest regional and international developments, and emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and consultation on these matters.

The Crown Prince also met with Her Excellency Kristrún Frostadóttir, Prime Minister of the friendly Republic of Iceland, and her accompanying delegation. The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between Kuwait and Iceland and ways to develop them to serve the interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples, in addition to discussing several issues of mutual interest.
