Al-Faris: Continuous legislative developments in the fight against corruption

Dr. Rana Al-Fares, President of the Public Authority for Anti-Corruption (Nazaha), affirmed on Wednesday that the adoption by the Conference of the States Parties to the Arab Convention against Corruption of the draft resolution submitted by the Authority reflects the extent of the legislative updates and developments witnessed by Kuwait in recent periods. Al-Fares explained that Kuwait has experienced continuous legislative developments in the past, particularly in the fields of anti-corruption and enhancing transparency and integrity, in line with regional and international standards, in addition to the development of human and institutional capacities. She emphasized the importance of participating in such conferences and regional forums, especially as they contribute to strengthening cooperation, exchanging expertise, and keeping abreast of the latest developments regarding anti-corruption efforts. For his part, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Qatar, Ahmed Al-Shuraim, expressed Kuwait’s keenness to participate in Arab, regional, and international conferences, particularly those related to anti-corruption and the promotion of transparency and integrity.
