Katz: Golan is part of Israel... and we will not withdraw from Mount Hermon in Syria

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Wednesday that “Israel will not withdraw from Mount Hermon or from the security zone it controls in Syria,” affirming that “it will remain in the areas it controls.” Katz added that “the entire area we control will remain under our control forever” in the event of any attack on Israel from Syria. Regarding the Golan, the Israeli Defense Minister stated: “The Golan is under our sovereignty and is an integral part of Israel.”
