Minister of Public Works: Kuwait welcomes and supports the framework of the Global Sustainable Transport Development Initiative

Minister of Public Works, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, participated in the Ministers' Forum held as part of the Global Sustainable Transport Forum 2026 in Beijing, China, under the theme "Implementing the Global Development Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative to Deepen Cooperation in Sustainable Transport." In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Wednesday, Al-Mashaan expressed the State of Kuwait's welcome and support for the framework of the Global Sustainable Transport Development Initiative, praising its focus on infrastructure connectivity, resilient supply chains, sustainable investment, technological innovation, and capacity building. She affirmed the State of Kuwait's commitment to working with its regional and international partners toward interconnected, resilient, environmentally friendly, and inclusive transport systems, noting that international forums represent a vital opportunity to exchange successful experiences and translate shared goals into practical cooperation.
