Kuwaiti efforts to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians and ensure the delivery of aid to them

Amid a series of meetings and consultations, Foreign Minister Sheikh Jeraih Al-Jaber continued his diplomatic activities on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly. On Monday, Al-Jaber met with Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Rangel, Maldivian Foreign Minister Aishath Irufath Ameen, Swiss Federal Councillor and Vice President of the Federal Council Ignazio Cassis, and the UN Special Coordinator for the Palestinian Territories, Nicholas Mladenov.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the meetings reviewed the bilateral relations between Kuwait and their respective countries, as well as ways to enhance and develop these relations across various fields, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international developments.

The ministry added that the meeting with the UN Special Coordinator for the Palestinian Territories, Nicholas Mladenov, focused on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the efforts of the UN to achieve security and stability, alongside regional and international initiatives to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip.
