As part of its ongoing commitment to developing digital banking services for the corporate sector, NBK has announced updates to a suite of services and features within its BEYOND platform, including online corporate banking and the corporate banking mobile application. These enhancements aim to provide businesses and entrepreneurs with more flexible digital tools to manage their daily banking transactions.

This move comes as the bank continues to expand its digital solutions for the startup, small, and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector, focusing on streamlining procedures, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing security and governance standards.

Commenting on the updates, Hamad Al-Mutawa, Director of Corporate Banking Services at NBK, said: “We view the development of corporate banking services as a continuous process directly linked to the evolving needs of our clients and the nature of their businesses. Accordingly, the new updates to BEYOND deliver a more integrated digital experience, empowering business owners to execute transactions and manage their accounts with greater ease and flexibility.”

He added: “We have focused on developing a range of features that support the daily operations of companies, whether through transfers, credit management, transaction monitoring, and notifications, as well as providing options that allow business owners to manage multiple companies through the application.”

The new updates coincide with BEYOND’s recent achievement of winning the “Best for Start-Ups” award at the MEED Awards, which recognize excellence in economic and business affairs across the Middle East. This accolade reflects the platform’s focus on supporting entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs. The award holds additional significance as it marks NBK’s first recognition from MEED, underscoring BEYOND’s growing presence in the corporate banking sector for startups and highlighting the bank’s continued development of banking solutions that respond to the changing business environment.

MEED Awards are based on the evaluation of entries against specific methodologies and criteria adopted by the organizing body, including the nature of the initiative or project, its impact, the effectiveness of the solutions in meeting the needs of the target audience, and other elements related to implementation quality and achieved results, in accordance with the established award standards.

In this context, Al-Mutawa explained: “Winning this award represents a significant milestone in the platform’s journey. We consider it a motivation to continue developing services for entrepreneurs and business owners, ensuring the platform supports various stages of our clients’ business growth through banking solutions that combine flexibility, efficiency, and ease of use.”

The updates launched by the bank include a range of tools and features that give corporate banking users broader control over their transactions. Key enhancements include the ability to execute various types of banking transfers quickly and securely, as well as the creation of up to five levels of transaction approval, with dual authorization provided to strengthen oversight and security.

New services also allow for the electronic issuance of balance certificates and IBAN certificates, and the management of multiple company accounts through the application, enabling access to up to five companies via the corporate banking mobile app.

Additional features include sending invoice payment links, receiving notifications for various transaction levels, executing batch transfers, performing multiple transfers in a single step, and issuing and delivering multiple cards with specialized functions.

The updates extend beyond transaction management. Through the Marketplace page in the mobile application, the platform now offers integrated solutions for projects in their new form, alongside the ability to link the Al-Waha Club account for earning travel miles with the prepaid BEYOND card. Users can also customize their home screen according to their priorities, providing a more personalized experience aligned with their needs and usage patterns.

These features contribute to reducing the time and effort required to complete transactions, while simultaneously supporting governance and internal control over banking operations.
