Saudi Arabia launches first car of Ser National Company under the name "Exobot"

Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, launched today, Monday, the first vehicle from Saudi Car Company (SACCO), branded as “Exobot.” This launch embodies the Kingdom’s strategic direction to develop an advanced industrial sector aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and to strengthen the Kingdom’s position on the global automotive manufacturing map.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the Crown Prince as saying, “The launch of the first Saudi Car Company vehicle marks another step forward in the Kingdom’s journey to build a sustainable and thriving industrial ecosystem, and to empower the automotive manufacturing sector as a key driver of economic growth by attracting investments, enabling national talent, and enhancing the role of the private sector. This will position the Kingdom as a leading regional and global hub in this sector.”

The agency added that the Exobot, available in sedan and all-wheel-drive variants, is the first product from Saudi Car Company’s fleet of seven models to be rolled out sequentially over the next five years. The lineup will include mid-size and compact vehicles with diverse drive systems to meet various customer needs. All variants will be produced at the SACCO industrial complex within the King Abdullah Economic City, part of the King Salman Automotive Industries complex. The facility is the largest of its kind in the Middle East and one of the most advanced automotive manufacturing plants worldwide.

The Exobot features a unique design inspired by the Kingdom’s landscape and deeply rooted in its culture, reflecting its vision. The vehicles are locally designed and engineered to the highest international standards, further cementing the Kingdom’s status as an emerging regional power in the automotive industry.

The Saudi agency noted that the company is expected to contribute more than SAR 30 billion to the Kingdom’s gross domestic product, improve the trade balance by approximately SAR 80 billion, and create direct and indirect high-quality jobs by 2034.
