His Highness the Amir receives invitation from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to participate in the Gulf-European summit

His Highness the Amir of the State, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received today a letter from his brother, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the sisterly Kingdom. The letter contained an invitation from His Highness, may God protect him, to attend the second summit between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union, which will be held in the capital city of Riyadh on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The letter was delivered to His Highness by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the State of Kuwait, His Highness Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khalid Al Saud. Present at the meeting with His Highness were: His Excellency the Minister of the Diwan of the Amir’s Affairs, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah; His Excellency the Director of the Office of His Highness the Amir, Retired Major General Jamal Muhammad Al-Diyab; His Excellency the Deputy Secretary of the Diwan of the Amir’s Affairs, Sheikh Abdulaziz Meshal Mubarak Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah; and His Excellency the Deputy Secretary for Foreign Affairs at the Diwan of the Amir’s Affairs, Mazen Issa Al-Eisa.
