Decree transferring Counselor Badr Al-Musaid to serve as First Counselor at the Court of Cassation

Ibrahim Muhammad – Decree No. 149 of 2026 was issued to effect judicial transfers, stipulating the transfer of Counselor Badr Abdullah Al-Musaid to serve as First Counselor at the Court of Cassation, effective September 3, 2026. Article 2 of the decree states that the Minister of Justice shall be responsible for implementing its provisions and that it shall be published in the Official Gazette. The issuance of the decree followed a review of the Constitution, the Amiri Order dated May 10, 2024, and the laws and decrees governing judicial affairs, as well as the ranks, salaries, and allowances of judges, members of the Public Prosecution, and the Directorate of Fatwa and Legislation, in addition to the decrees concerning the granting of judicial allowances, replacements, and ministerial appointments. The decree was also issued following the approval of the Supreme Judicial Council in its session No. 21/2026, held on September 6, 2026, and based on the proposal of the Minister of Justice and the approval of the Council of Ministers.
