Utah University awards Al-Badawi the First Distinguished Impact Graduate Award
The University of Utah awarded Jassim Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), the inaugural Distinguished Impact Alumni Award for this year, in recognition of his achievements since graduation and his professional and diplomatic contributions throughout his career.
In a statement, the GCC General Secretariat noted that Al-Budaiwi expressed his pride in this honor on the occasion, emphasizing that the University holds a special place in his academic journey and that the knowledge and experience he gained there contributed to building his professional and diplomatic career.
Al-Budaiwi affirmed that this recognition is not an end, but rather a pledge and commitment to continue strengthening the bridges of relations between the Gulf states and the University. He explained that relations between the GCC member states and the United States have become stronger and more active than ever before, pointing to the increasing number of students crossing this bridge, as well as the growing research cooperation, knowledge exchange, and mutual understanding between the two sides.
He praised the prestigious academic standing of the University of Utah and the efforts of its educational and academic staff in instilling the values of science and knowledge, while appreciating the role of the faculty members in supporting his professional journey.
Al-Budaiwi urged the students present to continue investing in their education, continuously developing their capabilities and skills, and making the most of the academic and research opportunities provided by the University. He emphasized that the ability to learn, evolve, and keep pace with changes has become one of the key components of success and excellence.
