During the first half of 2026, the State of Kuwait witnessed positive indicators within the security and justice system, characterized by a noticeable decline in crime rates across all categories, according to official data and reports. These results, with their broader implications, should not be viewed merely as statistics, but rather as evidence of the sustained efforts undertaken by state institutions to enhance security, consolidate the rule of law, and protect society. This is alongside the contribution of new legislation in developing tools for confrontation and prevention, and strengthening accountability for criminal acts.
In this context, the pivotal role of the Ministry of Interior stands out, along with the continuous field efforts of its personnel across various governorates and regions. These efforts are realized through strengthening security presence, monitoring reports and cases, responding swiftly to violations and crimes, and working to curb them before their effects spread. New legislation has contributed to providing clearer and more effective legal tools for relevant authorities, supporting their efforts in surveillance, investigation, and prosecution in accordance with established regulations, while simultaneously safeguarding rights and legal guarantees.
