Reuters: Houthis told the US they will not attack Israeli ships

Reuters, citing informed sources, reported that U.S. officials met with representatives of the Houthi militia in the Sultanate of Oman at the beginning of the week. The meeting was held at the U.S. Embassy in Muscat. According to the sources, the Houthis affirmed to the U.S. officials that the group has no intention of attacking U.S. vessels and is committed to the ceasefire reached with the United States in 2025. One source said the group also indicated that it “will not attack Israeli ships.” According to two of the sources, U.S. Embassy staff represented the American side during the meeting.
