First Deputy Speaker: Women's Police a Partner in Fulfilling the Security Mission
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousif praised the role of the women’s police in maintaining security, fostering discipline, and serving the community. This came during the swearing-in ceremony for 14 graduates of the women’s police, following their completion of the 11th mandatory course for civilian university graduates at the Police College in the sister state of Qatar, as part of the first delegation of women police officers sent there.
In a press statement, the Ministry of Interior said that Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousif emphasized in his speech at the graduation ceremony that the oath entails responsibility and trust, requiring loyalty in serving the country, commitment to applying the law, and safeguarding the rights of all. He noted that members of the women’s police are partners in fulfilling the security mission.
He congratulated the graduates on their graduation and swearing-in, wishing them success in their professional careers in service of the nation, and commended the outstanding results they achieved, which reflect the capabilities of Kuwaiti women and their commitment to the responsibilities entrusted to them. He urged the graduates to translate the knowledge and skills they acquired into field performance characterized by competence, discipline, and effective interaction with the public.
Following this, Colonel Azari Al-Saffar, Director of the Women’s Police Institute, read out the appointment order for the graduates into the police force with the rank of lieutenant. Colonel Rakan Fatima Al-Mutairi then administered the oath, which the graduates recited in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
Lieutenant Manouh Obour ranked first in her cohort and first in physical training, while Lieutenant Rotaj Khamis ranked first in discipline, reflecting the excellence, seriousness in preparation and training, and commitment to military service requirements among members of the women’s police.
The Ministry stated that this delegation represents an addition to the career path of the women’s police, by preparing scientifically and practically qualified cadres to perform their duties in maintaining security and serving the community.
Attending the swearing-in ceremony were Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahab, Assistant Undersecretary for Supporting Security Affairs Major General Fawaz Al-Roumi, and relevant security leaders.
